Lake Gregory

Description

Gregory Lake, is a reservoir in hill city, Nuwara-Eliya, Sri Lanka. Lake Gregory was built by Governor William Gregory between 1872 and 1877.

Lot of flowers between walking paths given extra attraction to the park and also small restaurants are situated one side of the park.

Lake Gregory was reconstructed and thus it is now turned into a more like Lake Park which includes many recreational activities. The people who visit this place can go on watersports like jet skis, windsurfing, swan-shaped paddle boats, water-walking balls, windsurfing, normal boat rides, pony rides and so much more fun activities.

Also known by the name Gregory Lake, it is a wetland converted into a beautiful lake. Used for recreational purposes, the lake is visited by large number of tourists every year. The lake is located in the heart of the city. And has now converted into a lake park where one can enjoy relaxing picnics.
